Chasing Zero
A downloadable game for Windows
Chasing Zero
A game about the pursuit of perfection.
Overview
Every attempt gets you closer.
Or at least, that's what you keep telling yourself.
Chasing Zero is a short precision platformer where you pursue an invisible record. You are never shown your time, nor the target you are chasing. After every run, the game only tells you one thing:
How much time was left.
You improve. Again. And again. And again.
As your attempts pile up, something begins to change.
The world slowly loses its colors, its details, and eventually its identity. What was once a beautiful game becomes nothing more than a collection of shapes, jumps and timings. Just like the player, the protagonist no longer sees a world to explore—only a path to optimize.
Features
- Precision platforming focused on execution and consistency.
- Instant restarts to encourage "just one more try."
- A world that evolves alongside the player's obsession.
- Minimalist narrative told entirely through gameplay, visuals and sound.
- Multiple visual stages that gradually strip away the game's identity.
- No dialogue-heavy storytelling—everything is communicated through the experience.
Theme
This game is not about achieving a high score.
It is about what happens while chasing one.
The project explores how the pursuit of perfection can slowly replace the joy that inspired it in the first place.
